The Cafe near Babb, just outside Glacier National Park, is
our original location where we began our operation in May of 1992. We bought the Driftwood Cafe and Lakeview Tourist resort
from Glenn and Joann McKee after they had operated for over 28 years. Since the original owners had been in business for over
25 years, our location has been a successful cafe for over 65 years! We have changed quite a bit from our first year, though,
building from a strictly "Mom & Pop" cafe with 6 tables and a tiny open kitchen to a greatly expanded building
with a full bar and seating for over 50.
The first thing most folks notice about our Cafe near Babb is the outrageous
exterior paint job. With a multicolor palette on the walls, we have had resident artists go crazy with abstract and semi abstract
art all over the outside and - oh yes it IS true - an "Aliens Welcome" sign on the roof. We'd like to be prepared,
just in case! The interior is just as eccentric as the outside, with an extensive license plate collection (all 50 states,
all of Canada, most of Australia, and over 15 other countries), various blow up animals (featuring Bobby the Bull as our only
trophy head), and framed articles from our favorite "newspaper", The Weekly World News.
Don't get distracted
by the outrageous decor, though, because the best thing about Two Sisters Cafe, near Babb is the food! We serve lunch, and
dinner throughout our season (Memorial Day to Labor Day) and feature delicious homemade pies and desserts. The cafe serves
mostly basic (but really delicious) homemade fare including grilled meats, hand breaded chicken fried steaks, and a great
sandwich list, featuring our world famous Red Burger (1/3 lb. all natural Montana beef topped with bacon, cheese, grilled
fresh mushrooms and onions, and a creamy creole sauce) named after our pal, Red. After (or instead of!) your meal, you
can enjoy a slice of home grown (and hand made) Montana huckleberry pie. Be sure and reserve your slice with your server
when you order, because it goes fast fast fast! If we're out of huckleberry, though, there are always plenty of
other delicious flavors to choose from. Try your pie topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or go huckleberry
all the way with huckleberry ice cream on top of your huckleberry pie! Be sure and try either our famous Lemonade Of
The Day, a fresh lime margarita, one of our fabulous specialty cocktails, or a local microbrew (or two!) from our
bar after a hot day on the trails!
We also feature one holiday celebration during the summer in Babb - our annual
July 4th Cajun Fest - save room for Gumbo, Shrimp, and sumpin' spicy! So while you are on your trip through Glacier National Park, or if you are a Montana native just out for a summer's drive,
don't forget to stop at Two Sisters Cafe, near Babb Montana for the best meal and friendliest service you'll have on your
trip.
